Vegan Smoothing Treatment Application Protocol

 

ELIXIRME VEGAN SMOOTHING TREATMENT APPLICATION PROTOCOL

As with any chemical service, a patch test is recommended prior to applying the treatment to prevent any potential allergic reactions  

 

VEGAN SMOOTHING TREATMENT – FRIZZ & CURL REDUCING SYSTEM:

 

  1.  Wet hair with warm water and shampoo with your favorite Elixirme shampoo
  2. Rinse well. Do not condition or add anything extra onto the hair at this time.  
  3. Ruffle blow-dry the hair to 80%
  4. In a mixing bowl, pour about 3-4oz of active cream (90-120ml) into the bowl and stir, using an application brush. 
  5.  Section hair into 4 quadrants.
  6.  Starting at the nape area, apply the Smoothing cream onto the hair, section by section, combing each section through well as you work. Keep the product ¼” off the scalp.
  7.  Comb through each section as you go to ensure good coverage. (Do not oversaturate)    
  8. Cover the head when completed with a plastic cap and start timing. 
  9. Wipe any excessive products off from ears and neckline with water & damp towel 

Timing:   

  • Fragile, highly bleached/damaged hair: 30 mins
  • Fine, tinted, double processed, highlighted or delicate hair: 40mins
  • Normal, Coarse, Strong or Healthy hair: 60 mins 

    10. Remove cap and rinse well with water only (Do not shampoo).

    11. Apply a small amount of Conditioning Cream if hair is tangled and gently                                    work though the complete hair shaft. Comb through to remove all tangles.

    12. Rinse conditioner out (Do Not Shampoo)

    13. Towel dry excess water.

    14. Blow dry the hair smooth and straight using a round or paddle brush until                                     completely dry.

    15. Proceed taking 1/2"sections (or smaller) using a flat iron (450°F/230°C)                                         with 8-12 passes on each. NOTE: Reduce iron heat to 375°F on  highly bleached or                   damaged hair
